Reporting directly to the Program Manager of Service Delivery, you'll oversee your dedicated Program Supervisors, while fostering a culture of compassion and respect. You will manage our Grande Prairie and Red Deer programs while primarily based in Edmonton. Hours of Work:

  • Full-time days (40 hours per week)
  • 6 month term with possibility of extension or becoming permanent
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility to be on-call is essential

Who You Are:


Are you a compassionate, proactive professional with extensive experience in residential home care, disability services, and complex behavioral care? Bring your strong understanding of trauma-informed practices, mental wellness, and continuous quality improvement to our Service Delivery team! With expertise in writing home assessments and overseeing frontline service providers, you are a team player excited to ensure the highest quality of service delivery. With excellent communication, active listening, and empathy, you build and maintain constructive relationships while thriving in fast paced environments. Detail-oriented and adept at documentation, you quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.


Your Day to Day:


  • Oversee the responsibilities of Program Supervisors, Lead Child and Youth Care Workers (CYCWs), and CYCWs, ensuring respectful and caring service delivery
  • Provide one-on-one coaching, performance and attendance management to your Program Supervisors
  • Contribute to the training and development of CYCWs to enhance skills and performance
  • Monitor productivity and workflow organization of your Program Supervisors
  • Complete critical incident reports
  • Design and implement process improvements to increase service quality
  • Develop individualized care plans tailored to your clients' needs
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., People and Culture, Finance)
  • Liaison with external stakeholders, including Children's Services, FSCD, PDD, etc.
  • Provide on-call support to programs and clients

What You Bring:

  • Completion of a Degree in Human Services, Child and Youth Care, or Social Work is required
  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience supervising / managing frontline care staff is required
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working with Children's Services and Family Support for Children with Disability (FSCD) is required
  • A minimum 3 years proven experience providing direct care to youth with complex behavioural and mental health needs is required
  • Experience navigating relationships between Children's Services, schools, guardians, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of child and youth care mental wellness and home care best practices
  • Excellent execution of clerical procedures for maintaining records and completing forms
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License, current Alberta 10-year Drivers Abstract, a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance with $2-million liability coverage
  • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C + AED (two day in person training completed)
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained within the last 6 months
  • Intervention Record Check obtained from Children Services within the last 6 months
  • Suicide prevention training and/or Mental Health First Aid are assets
  • Trauma Informed Care, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and/or Brain Story certificate are assets
