BC Cancer Abbotsford is looking for a Clinical Resource Nurse to join the Radiation/Brachytherapy team. The Brachytherapy Unit supports outpatient surgical treatment procedures and post anesthesia recovery assessment. The team also helps coordinate the journey through brachytherapy treatments from pre-surgical screening, OR, PACU, and discharge. The Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) provides leadership in the delivery of care activities in defined areas of clinical expertise. In conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Coordinator/Leader, Assessment Module Leader, Nurse Educators and the Professional Practice Leader - Nursing, the CRN supervises nursing practice, provides clinical leadership, guidance and support to team members. The CRN acts as a clinical resource for nurses, nursing students and the interdisciplinary team. Assists staff in providing quality care and related quality assurance requirements for an identified patient population by providing information based on theory/practice, assessing clinical/technical skills and participating in the direct patient care as appropriate, in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.

Job Type: Regular, Part-Time (0.80 FTE)
Wage: $49.20 - $67.08 per hour. As of April 1, 2024, this position may qualify for a one-time recruitment incentive up to $15,000, $20,000 or $30,000 (subject to funding availability).
