We are recruiting for an experienced Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team. This role will be based at our Burnaby Head Office in BC. This is an on-site position.

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Junior Marketing Director, National Campaigns & Production, this role is responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of social media management, engagement, and content creation in collaboration with regional marketing teams.

The Marketing Assistant will also handle copywriting, develop newsletters aimed at enhancing patient engagement, and assist in crafting internal marketing content and collateral. Additionally, they will work closely with the Marketing Director and the Lead Marketing Coordinator on various projects, including national campaigns and production, as required.

As the Marketing Assistant, you will support the social media goals and objectives of the 123Dentist network of dental practices while managing our online reputation. You will deliver exceptional communication and customer service to our clinics, acting as a social media champion and ambassador for the 123Dentist brand.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies and monthly content calendars to increase brand awareness and engagement for 123Dentist, the network of dental practices and sub brands.
  • Research and write compelling copy for social media content that aligns with brand messaging.
  • Develop creative briefs for the Studio and Graphic Designers, as well as create and curate high-quality content, including text, images, and videos, for social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media channels and manage online reputation for assigned regions while engaging with our audiences across all accounts, including additional regions as needed.
  • Analyze social media data and metrics to track campaign performance and provide actionable insights and develop and report on quarterly analytics reports to ensure targets are being met.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in social media platforms to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing objectives.
  • Assist in the management of social media advertising campaigns to drive customer acquisition and conversions.
  • Claim, create, and administer social media profiles and accounts for clinics, engaging with audiences across various channels.
  • Administer various marketing tools (Hootsuite, Rasplayer, Mailchimp, etc.) and email marketing campaigns.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients as assigned.
  • Provide assistance for various marketing programs and campaigns and assist in producing foundational marketing materials and collateral.
  • Provide foundational-level local SEO support.
  • Support the operational needs of the 123Dentist intranet (123Dentist HUB).
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Director.

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is required.
  • Social Media Certification is an asset.
  • 2+ years as a Marketing Assistant or in a similar role.
  • 2+ years' experience with graphic design and video editing tools, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse content, including vlogs, is an asset.
  • Proficiency and bilingual in French are considered an asset.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • A high level of creativity is a must with a passion for storytelling and content innovation.
  • In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and best practices and knowledge of SEO, analytics tools, and social media metrics.
  • Proficient in photography and skilled in creating engaging videos and reels that capture attention and enhance brand storytelling.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools to track performance and derive insights.
  • Understanding of marketing principles.
  • Excellent computer and software skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and innovate in content creation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and client-oriented approach.
