Job Summary

Burnaby Hospital is seeking a two community based full-time OBGYN to join their group. The ideal candidate will be interested in a general practice and be responsible for covering 1:8 calls (home call).

We are looking for supportive team players across disciplines, keen teacher of medical students, and someone interested in leadership, quality assurance and administrative roles. The incumbent will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty appointment with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia. Provisional license is acceptable and supervision available for US board certified physicians.

We are a collegial group of six obstetricians and gynecologists who work closely with excellent family practice and midwifery groups. We look forward to working with the successful candidate to deliver both maternity care and gynecology services to our expanding population in Burnaby.

Burnaby Hospital is a community 286 bed hospital with a Level 2 nursery (>32 wk gestational age) and manages close to 1,400 births per year. ER, Anesthesia, pediatrics and obstetrics deliver 24/7 call services. Our hospital provides an exceptional team that works well together in a collegial community setting. We are also very excited for the redevelopment of the hospital currently underway.

The anticipated start date is April 30, 2025 or earlier.
