The role:

We are adding a seasoned professional, employee engagement expert, and resolution oriented Regional People Manager to our team in Western Canada. You will work in a fast-paced environment, where you can identify and own areas for new processes and programs. You will focus on building trusting relationships with leadership and employee through out the region.

How you will spend your days:

  • Support and advise. Employees are the face of our company and we truly put our people first. In your role as an Regional People Manager, you will ensure employees receive the highest level of service as they reach out on challenges and urgent needs. You will connect and provide your expertise to leaders and managers across regions to help resolve complex business issues and develop innovative solutions to support their business priorities.
  • Talent. You will partner with recruitment partners and hiring managers to hire the right people, build a talent plan that can scale and build a future talent pipeline. Collaborating with on-site leadership and our talent partner, you will guide the onboarding and performance management processes, engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
  • HR Strategy/Special Projects. Develop policies, procedures and internal processes that ensure organizational effectiveness and support business goals. Identify high risk areas of the business and partner with partner with management team as required to initiate various Human Performance Improvement (HPI) efforts. Identify organizational HR Business needs, assist senior management with strategic planning and change management efforts; evaluate organizational performance effectiveness and identify areas for improvements to HR policy and internal processes as required.
  • Compliance: Review and maintain regulatory compliance with employment law, health & safety policies, and legislation.

What you bring:

  • Experience. You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. In addition, you will have at least 3 years multi-province payroll experience. Experience in healthcare, retail/service and/or an understanding of the healthcare industry.
  • Toolkit. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. Experience using an HRIS, with knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow being an asset.
  • Education. You have a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution, ideally in Human Resources, Business, or Business Administration. You will have your CHRP designation Certification (CPHR or related) is preferred.
  • Communication skills. You have experience working with people and leaders to find the best solutions to fit their needs. You love building relationships with people and nurturing those relationships. You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and can explain your ideas and thoughts in a variety of ways to get your point across. You are comfortable communicating on the phone, by email or in person - sometimes all at once.
  • Additional must-have requirements. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable. Possession of a valid driver's license with the ability to travel to various sites or event locations (approximately 5-10%).
