Chilliwack General Hospital is seeking two General Internists to join our team.The successful candidate will have a solid background in all aspects of General Internal Medicine, with an emphasis on acute care cardiology and critical care. The general internists share access to exercise treadmill testing, ECG and Holter interpretation, and participate in the in-hospital GIM rapid access clinic and graduated care clinic. Team based health care is emphasized with Inter-disciplinary rounds in both the ICU and general wards required while on inpatient services. Participation in a city of Hope outreach program is also expected.
Chilliwack General Hospital is a busy community hospital. We have 4 General Surgeons, 4 Orthopedic Surgeons, 2 Urologists, 3 Obs/Gyne, a low risk obstetrics ward, and a psychiatric ward. Radiology provides in-hospital echocardiogram, CT, ultrasound, and some interventional procedures. There is a full PFT lab on site. Endoscopy, ERCP and bronchoscopy are provided in the Ambulatory care setting.
There is a highly respected Family Practice residency program in Chilliwack. Residents have a strong clinical rural/community focus, and participate in Internal Medicine rotations. CGH is also one of the sites for the Integrated Clerkship program for 3rd year medical students.
