Our team is looking for a compassionate part-time (0.8 FTE) palliative care physician to support a 1-year Parental Leave located in Tri Cities, BC. This position would commence in September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity, where you will work alongside other palliative care physicians and our multidisciplinary team to provide Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage in hospice; and consultation services to acute care and community-based patients.
Throughout the Fraser Health Authority we provide integrated, regional, comprehensive palliative care services in a number of settings including 30 Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) beds; consult services in 12 acute care sites as well as in the community and other settings; and support to 126 hospice beds. Additionally, we provide under-graduate and post-graduate teaching in affiliation with the Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia.
Qualifications:
- One-year enhanced skills residency and acquired the Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
- Two-year Royal College subspecialty in Palliative Medicine.
Remuneration by service contract at a rate set provincially by the Ministry of Health

Eagle Ridge Hospital has 168 acute care beds. As a community hospital, it provides primary and secondary acute care and some specialty services that can be accessed with or without referrals, such as 24/7 emergency, diagnostics, inpatient and outpatient care in general medicine, rehabilitation, surgery and other specialty services such as urology, plastics, and orthopaedics.
