At QMS, we are dedicated to providing students with the support they need to reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a passionate and compassionate Behavioural Interventionist to join our Learning Support Services team. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

As a Behavioural Interventionist, you will play a key role in fostering students' emotional well-being and resilience. By working closely with educators, support staff, and external professionals, you will implement tailored interventions to support students in developing social-emotional skills, self-regulation strategies, and positive behavioural outcomes. You will work collaboratively with families and colleagues to ensure each student receives the personalized support they need to thrive both academically and socially.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Support Students' Learning Journey: Work with students in grades 6-12 helping them develop essential skills such as emotional regulation and self-management.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Support Team: Partner with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to implement individualized behavioural interventions.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop trust and rapport with students to create a safe, supportive environment in which they can flourish.
  • Work with Families: Collaborate with parents and caregivers to create a coordinated approach to support students' behavioural and academic needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 6 months of experience as a Behavioural Interventionist or in a similar support role (preferred: 5+ years working with children with diverse needs).
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Certification in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis to monitor and adjust interventions based on student progress is essential.
