The salary range for this position is CAD $24.34 - $24.34 / hour

Detailed Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Food & Nutrition or designate, performs a variety of duties within the food service operation such as setting up trays, portioning meals and preparing items such as tea, coffee, toast and washing dishes and utensils; delivers and picks up meal trays from the patient''s room.
Responsibilities

  1. Assembles and sets ups meal trays with items according to information printed on patient's meal ticket; loads and unloads meal wagons; delivers and picks up meal trays from the patient''s room.
  2. Makes beverages and food items such as tea, coffee, and toast; assembles items such as sandwiches and salads.
  3. Washes, peels and stores vegetables and fruit.
  4. Cleans soiled dishes and utensils; stores cleaned dishes, trays and utensils in the appropriate areas.
  5. Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping and damp mopping floors, cleaning counter tops, sinks, machines and equipment and spot washing walls; removes garbage as required.
  6. Collects stores requisitions from various areas and distributes supplies to the appropriate areas.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Successful completion of a recognized Food Safe Certificate.
