High Intensity/Outreach Clinician
$84,377.23 - $117,319.05 annually
The High Intensity Outreach Team (HIOT) is a dedicated group within our larger community mental health team, providing crucial short-term stabilization for children and youth facing severe mental health or substance use challenges. This team, comprising two clinicians and one Mental Health Outreach Worker, has been instrumental in connecting families to the right community supports for the past two years. As part of HIOT, you’ll collaborate closely with other mental health clinicians, psychiatry, and psychiatric nurses, while also engaging with a variety of community partners.
As a High Intensity/Outreach Clinician, you will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of regional services aligned with the Pathway to Hope provincial strategy. You will provide community-based mental health care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure smooth transitions back home for children and youth. By working closely with families and caregivers, you’ll help implement treatment plans and provide day-to-day support for those experiencing acute mental health or substance use challenges. Your work will have a direct impact on the lives of children and youth, offering intensive services such as risk assessments, safety planning, crisis intervention, and stabilization care.
