Job Summary

The Director of Executive and Senior Leadership Acquisition is seeking an accomplished and motivated recruitment professional, with a passion for building relationships, to join our Executive Search team as a Physician Recruitment Client Partner. The Client Partner has the opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in building a people-focused strategic vision to ensure FH is an employer of choice for physicians and medical leadership professionals.

As the successful candidate, you will collaborate closely with various internal partners, medical staff, and leadership on-site across the Fraser Health region to achieve strategic objectives within the physician recruitment portfolio. The ideal candidate will take on the proactive identification of, connection with, and acquisition of physician candidates for current and future vacancies to ensure the care continuum within our communities, while having a regular on-site presence at hospitals. With a focus on specialized physician roles, the Client Partner's work will be integral to the recruitment of physicians.

Key areas of involvement include:

  • Delivering excellent service to hiring managers and communicate regularly with clients regarding the search progress, candidate evaluation and presentation of shortlisted candidates.
  • Conducting introductory and screening calls with potential candidates, internal applicants, and referral sources to develop long-term relationships and evaluate alignment for both current and future physician and medical leadership vacancies.
  • Leading the full-cycle recruitment process from initial recruitment request through to hiring including attending selection committee panel interviews.
  • Strategizing marketing initiatives for searches and special projects, and conducting research through various methods while utilizing the internal database to map target companies and identify talent for vacancies.
  • Supporting candidate interviews, documenting recruitment activities, maintaining candidate files, coordinating information in the ATS system and reporting on recruitment metrics.
  • Attending various on-site meetings and fostering ongoing relationships with medical staff and physician residents.
  • Maintaining awareness of current trends, literature and best practices related to Executive Search, Talent Acquisition and Human Resources.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field;
  • Five (5) years of full-cycle recruitment and client management experience within healthcare, preferably in a recruitment/staffing agency or executive search organization;
  • Strong organizational skills and prioritization abilities, with strict attention to detail; and
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, presentation and negotiation skills with a passion for asking questions.

Detailed Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

Reporting to the Director, Executive and Senior Leadership Acquisition, the Client Partner leads the recruitment initiatives for an assigned executive search portfolio and contributes to the Team's proactive culture of talent acquisition by developing role-specific talent pipelines throughout Canada and globally. The Client Partner is responsible for full-cycle recruitment and delivery of the executive search service for open positions, and developing candidate and referral relationships related to future executive recruitment needs.

Working closely with the Director, and assigned clients, the Client Partner independently manages multiple open executive-level positions, tailoring the search process to meet client needs and identify the best candidates for each role. With support from a Representative, the Client Partner will plan marketing initiatives, lead and participate in initial research and candidate sourcing, develop strong relationships with potential candidates and referrals, liaise with clients regarding progress, evaluate and interview candidates, present shortlisted candidates, coordinate interviews and materials for the search committee, conduct references and due diligence, facilitate candidate selection and offers, and complete the hiring process.


Responsibilities


  1. Responsible full-cycle recruitment for multiple assigned Executive Search requisitions, delivering excellent customer service to hiring managers and providing professional recruitment of internal and external candidates who support the vision and values of Fraser Health.
  2. Commences the process for each search by scheduling meetings with client and relevant stakeholders, developing the Opportunity Profile, editing and finalizing marketing strategies, scheduling milestone meetings, and conducting any research as required.
  3. With support from the Representative, proactively sources candidates for active positions as well as candidate pipelines for future openings; performs advanced searches and research online, including but not limited to websites, LinkedIn, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  4. Conducts introductory and screening phone calls with potential candidates and referral sources; develops long-term candidate relationships, documents candidate information and tracks recruitment activity within ATS and recruitment tracking systems.
  5. Evaluates internal and external applicants; reviews resumes and online profiles; conducts in-person candidate interviews; assesses skills, experience and competencies; conducts reference checks; administers psychometric evaluations, as required. Presents search findings and candidate longlists; shortlists candidates and provides client interview recommendations; schedules and arranges all interviews for search committee.
  6. Drafts, edits and finalizes all external and internal communications and promptly responds to candidate and client queries; prepares progress reports for each requisition; develops Search Summaries, Candidate Summaries, Interview Guides; maintains candidate files; coordinates letters of offer; completes necessary documentation to assist in the hiring of foreign applicants, as required.
  7. Leads candidates and clients through each stage of the recruitment process, ensuring regular communication and managing expectations throughout; coordinates with external departments to complete hiring process for selected candidates.
  8. Schedules reminders and follows up with new hires, connects with clients and placed candidates for feedback.
  9. Develops effective working relationships with relevant community groups, educational institutions, and professional associations; represents Fraser Health at a variety of functions including conferences, networking and career events; prepares materials and delivers presentations, as required.
  10. Supervises and delegates search mandates for assigned Representative; collaboratively supports the Director, the Team and other Client Partner(s) with their search goals.
  11. Works effectively and collaboratively with the Director and the Team to streamline recruiting processes, data collection, and reporting on statistics and demographics, and works with clients to best understand active and future external recruitment needs.
  12. Maintains awareness of current trends and literature related to talent acquisition, Human Resources trends and best practices; develops strategic stakeholder relationships and continually assists with current issues and innovative talent acquisition initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Human Resources or a related field, and at least five (5) years' recent, related recruitment experience preferably in the recruitment/staffing agency or executive search industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Demonstrated ability to interview individuals to ascertain skill level.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of relevant software applications at an intermediate level including current word processing, spreadsheets, databases, ATS/CRM software, internet search tools, and social media from a recruitment perspective.
  • Demonstrates creativity, resourcefulness, ability to analyze information, and an excellent customer service-orientation.
  • Exercises considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation and general human resources principles and best practices.
