Status: Full time or part time - local or travel rotation to Kitimat, BC
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Our team and what we'll accomplish together

As a member of the TELUS Health team, you will:

  • Guide ill and injured workers in navigating the healthcare system to seek the right care at the right time
  • Reduce medical absences and improve the likelihood of successful return to work through early intervention and collaboration with the employer to promote workplace accommodations
  • Collaborate with workers and stakeholders to maintain and improve the overall health of the workforce in an industrial setting

What you'll do

Support the Lead Occupational Health Nurse with case management activities, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting with absence management, development and review of gradual return to work plans
  • Assessing restrictions/limitations against job demands
  • On-site evaluations for potential workplace accommodations and modifications
  • Functional abilities evaluations to Rio Tinto pre-employment fitness for work requirements, as well as in support of job transfers and return-to-work
  • Works with HSE Department on wellness initiatives & health education
  • Charting of all patient interactions within the Cority platform
  • Evaluation of Job Demands Analysis as requested by BC Works
  • Assist with medical filing and entry of medical documentation into Cority
  • Other health care services as directed to meet the needs of the client

What you bring

  • Full registration as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
  • Experience in Disability Case Management, return to work management, or similar
  • Basic Life Support (CPR-C) certification
  • Valid BC Driver's license

Preferred experience in:

  • Occupational Health environments
  • Job demands analysis
  • Functional Capacity Evaluation

Great to haves

  • Audiometry certification
  • Spirometry certification
  • Respiratory fit test training
