BC Cancer is committed to reducing the incidence of cancer, reducing the mortality from cancer, and improving the quality of life of those living with cancer. BC Cancer provides a comprehensive cancer control program for the people of British Columbia in partnership with regional health authorities to deliver a range of cancer services, which include prevention, screening and early detection, diagnosis and treatment, research, education, supportive care, rehabilitation and palliative care. It operates six regional cancer centres in Surrey, Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, Abbotsford and Prince George, along with two research centres that conduct research into the causes and cures for cancer.

The department of Diagnostic Imaging at the Vancouver Centre cares for over 6,000 new patients annually and provides a wide spectrum of oncological imaging to inpatients and ambulatory patients of the BC Cancer Agency. This role will see you join a cohesive team of subspecialty Radiologists that in conjunction with our medical, radiation and surgical oncology colleagues deliver mission oriented world-class care + research to our oncology patients. Your mandate will include general diagnostic cross-sectional work including CT, MRI, US and plain radiography as well as performing image-guided biopsies. BC Cancer is affiliated with the University of British Columbia and there are opportunities for academic involvement & clinical research for interested radiologists.

This role will appeal to a dynamic professional who seeks both clinical and academic challenges in a multidisciplinary environment where learning never stops. You should desire to work with a team of dedicated colleagues who put our oncology patients first, enjoy helping each other out and value excellence in radiology. You are a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) and have certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or the equivalent. Licensure or eligibility for licensure with the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons is a must. Fellowship training in chest, body, neuro, MSK, MRI, breast imaging or prior experience in oncologic radiology would be an asset. Interventional skill and willingness to perform biopsies at most body sites is a plus as this is a growth area in oncology. Hours are flexible and will include a combination of weekday, evening and weekend times.

Discover the unlimited possibilities that come with a career in a city rated "most livable in the world" by international media. This is a beautiful multicultural setting in a one-of-a-kind natural environment. No matter the season, you will find enjoyable indoor/outdoor activities for families, couples and friends.
