Position Summary
The Reproductive Health Nurse provides health education and care within the scope of nursing practice. As a member of a client-centered interdisciplinary team, the Reproductive Health Nurse provides care to individuals across the life span promoting wellness, prevention of disease and/or disability and the management of reproductive health and wellness. The incumbent works as an advocate on behalf of the client to ensure the appropriate links/referrals to other human services that would enable the client to achieve their health goals.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of approved Registered Nursing education program, BN preferred.
Member in good standing with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
Must have RNAP Certification
Skills, Expertise and Experience
A minimum of five (5) years' experience working as a Registered Nurse
A minimum of three (3) years' experience working in a community health setting Knowledge and Experience working with Students and/or Volunteers
Current CPR Certification
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Community EMR/Accuro, and eChart
Critical Skills
Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Proven management skills, including case management, scheduling, organizational communication, and connection to other MCC programs
Focus on Results
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus work-related activities to effectively and efficiently achieve service goals and produce expected results/outcomes
