Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Education and Community Relations, the Community Patient Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating community engagement projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing cancer control, outcomes, and patient and community experience in Manitoba. Key principles of partnership and engagement , inclusion and co-development, will guide all aspects of this work and is demonstrated by working with our partners, communities, and patients in a balanced and collaborative way to advance projects, initiatives, and activities toward equitable cancer care access, experience and outcomes.
The Community and Patient Engagement Coordinator uses a health equity and community centered approach to cancer care and works closely with members of the Underserved Populations Program (UPP) team projects and others in applying evidence-based best practice to community engagement activities and initiatives.
This position will support the planning and execution of community engagement projects that inform quality, patient safety and learning. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and manage relationships and partnerships to ensure the health needs of Manitobans are fulfilled compassionately and effectively. The community engagement coordinator will support the project team in planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating projects and initiatives.
