Job Summary:

Reporting to the Resource Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for entering patient lab results/health information into our electronic health record, ensuring the information is entered accurately, timely and verified. Scanning of documents may also be required. Maintains patient confidentiality / privacy at all times according to CCMB policy.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a high school graduate (Grade XII) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working as a Data Entry Clerk (entering Lab Results)
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Must hold a satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada

Will be assessed during the testing process:

  • Typing speed - minimum 10,000 keystrokes per hour, or 40 wpm with less than 1% error rate

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs and electronic medical records
  • Knowledge in medical terminology
  • Experience volunteering or working in a healthcare environment

Asset:

  • Working experience with MAXON/ARIA
  • Keyboarding of 45 wpm
  • Proficiency in terminal digit order
  • Ability to speak French
