Job Summary:

Reporting to the Resource Coordinator, Cancer Clinical Information Management Department- Health Records, the Patient Registration Clerk will register new patients to CancerCare Manitoba via collection of accurate demographic and essential identification or information. The successful candidate must have the flexibility to move between St. Boniface and MacCharles sites as assigned. Maintain patient confidentiality privacy at all times according to CCMB policy.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a high school graduate (Grade XII) or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year demonstrated experience in a health care related field and or in a patient registration department
  • Must be able to work independently and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada

Preferred:

  • Working experience with Microsoft Office programs and electronic medical records
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Experience volunteering or working in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to speak French

Asset:

  • Working experience with MAXON/ARIA/EPR
  • Keyboard speed of 45 wpm
