Job Summary:

The Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a Registered Clinical Assistant or Physician Assistant for inpatient and outpatient services. This position will rotate between CancerCare Manitoba, Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface General Hospital. Duties include new patient consult services taking histories and physicals, involvement in hospitalized patient care mainly at HSC, outpatient radiation follow-up, radiation on treatment clinics, and daily medical management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Eligible for registration as a Clinical Assistant or Physician Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba

  • Evidence of excellent communication skills in English (oral, written and listening)

  • Organization and problem-solving skills

  • Must hold a satisfactory employment record

  • Must be able to legally work in Canada

Asset:

  • Experience in dealing with complex medical patients and with cancer patients

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience with ARIA

  • Current CPR Certification

  • Ability to speak French
