Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Area Dietitian or Designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Stores Attendant - Stores is responsible for: organizing and maintaining stock rotation; carrying or transporting supplies to designated areas; filling supply requisitions and delivering to designated areas; organizing and maintaining storage areas in a neat and clean condition; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Six (6) months experience in a food services area.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 10.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good personal cleanliness.
  • Ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Ability to adjust to extreme changes in temperature for short periods of time throughout the day.
  • Ability and willingness to work in extreme cold and crowded conditions for long periods of time.
