Horizon Health Network in beautiful New Brunswick is looking for a NB Trauma Program Clinical Director to join our team!
Trauma NB is the provincial program established to provide leadership and coordination in clinical care, injury prevention, education and research related to those with serious and critical injuries across NB. The program is a formalized partnership that includes Horizon, Vitalité, EM-ANB and the NB Department of Health.
Reporting to Horizon's VP Clinical Services and to the Trauma NB Advisory Committee, the Clinical Director works in collaboration with the Medical Director to provide overall program leadership. The Clinical Director works with staff and physicians of the program, as well as with clinical and administrative leaders in Horizon, Vitalité, EM-ANB and the Department of Health to develop, implement and monitor strategic and operational objectives within allocated resources.
The Clinical Director also ensures that effective management processes and controls are in place, maintains fiscal responsibility, supports staff and encourages change as required to meet objectives articulated in the program's strategic plan.
The Clinical Director represents Trauma NB locally, regionally, provincially and nationally.

Who you are
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Masters level preparation in Health or Business Administration linked to a clinical profession.
- Considerable progressive administrative and management experience, preferably in the health care field.
- Commitment to high quality, high reliability health systems that are patient and family focused.
- Demonstrated skills in mentoring, leading, facilitating, team-building, negotiation, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability in planning, budgeting, information analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma system design and leadership
- Demonstrated knowledge of Trauma NB objectives, structures and key processes
- Good health and work record.
- Ability to establish program priorities, and deal with matters of confidentiality and/or sensitivity requiring maturity, diplomacy, discipline, and tact.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Written and spoken competence in English required; written and spoken competence in French desirable
Other Essential Requirements/Qualifications
- Willing and able to travel throughout the province. Must have a valid NB driver's license
- Strong computer aptitude for MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

What you will do
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement and monitor program goals and objectives consistent with Trauma NB Mission, Vision and Values
- Support the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
- Supports the work of provincial subcommittees that provide guidance to the program in the areas of clinical standards and education, injury prevention, research and communications.
- Establish and maintain effective, consistent communication within the program and with all internal and external partners
- Monitor and report on financial, strategic and operational performance and risk, including plans to address challenges
- Ensure the quality of service delivery by developing, implementing and evaluating quality improvement processes, including local, regional and provincial key performance indicators.
- Ensure a work environment that encourages open communication, positive attitude, shared learning, high reliability and team member development
- Ensure mechanisms are in place for promptly addressing comments, questions and concerns
- Support an additional program as needed due to operational requirements.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
- Ensure that professional practice standards for the oversight of patient care and services are maintained
- Ensure adherence to applicable trauma system design and performance standards
ACCOUNTABILITY
- The Clinical Director is directly accountable to the Vice-President of Clinical Services for Horizon Health Network and to the Trauma NB Advisory Committee
