Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a skilled, committed, agile individual to join our team as the Administrative Director of the Stan Cassidy Centre of Rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing ongoing leadership and management of this provincial tertiary rehabilitation service and establishing partnerships to ensure the efficient and effective delivery programs and services.

Who you are

You have a:

  • Masters of Health Administration and/or business administration or other related discipline.
  • Written and spoken competence in English and spoken competence in intermediate plus French is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive administrative and management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver interdisciplinary health service programs.
  • Demonstrated ability in planning, budgeting, information analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated skills in visioning, mentoring, leadership and facilitation, team building, negotiation, coaching, conflict resolution and process improvement.
  • Clinical knowledge of neurologic rehabilitation.
  • Contemporary knowledge of health care requirements respecting privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively: interpersonal skills, media.
  • Ability to work efficiently under conditions with frequent interruptions and pressure of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to different sites in the province for meetings, as required.

What you will do

  • Provide overall direction and leadership in consultation with the Medical Director through the development, planning and evaluation of strategic and operational plans for the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation.
  • Manage the financial and human resources allocated to the Centre by determining the required resources, monitoring the use of these resources, instituting appropriate controls and implementing corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensure the quality of services by developing, implementing and evaluating a quality improvement process which involves problem identification / improvement opportunity, problem solving and evaluation.
  • Establish internal and external communication mechanisms to promote a milieu conducive to the collaboration and creation of dynamic partnerships which strengthen the provincial commitment to an integrated system for tertiary rehabilitation.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation on committees and activities locally, provincially and nationally as required.
  • Establish an effective partnership with the Chalmer's foundation.
