JOB PURPOSE
The Clinical Resource Pharmacist is responsible for providing leadership to ensure safe use and effective management of medications for a specific clinical program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Registered or eligible for licensure with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in New Brunswick.
- Completion of an advanced clinical pharmacy practice program or degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical Resource Pharmacist is responsible for:
- Providing advanced clinical services
- Taking a leadership role regarding drug use and clinical practice
- Leading and participating in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, projects and research activities
- Providing mentoring, training and education\
- Acting as a preceptor
- Develop, implement, evaluate and enhance the pharmacy service, education program and research initiatives.
- Establish and implement standards for staff performance and development.
- Serving as site coordinator for the region residency program (if applicable).
