Description

Provides support to Moncton Community & Family Services Christmas Kettle Campaign and Hamper Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with organization of TipTap and its applicable hardware
  • Assemble and prepare Kettle Campaign supplies
  • Assist with set up and take down of kettle locations at beginning and end of the campaign.
  • Will ensure Kettle supplies and hardware are stocked and charged. This will include delivery of items needed.
  • Assist in pick up of kettles at shift end and will serve on the Kettle counting team (on a rotational basis).
  • Assist with the Kettle Campaign Kick Off event as needed.
  • Make calls, keep records, general office duties
  • Will provide updates and support on key aspects of campaign to coordinator
  • Will fill-in kettle shifts or tend to emergency absences when required.
  • Assist with donations for Christmas program - pick ups, sorting, inventory, packing, etc. in preparation for distribution.
  • Assist with set up and take down of Christmas depot and storage of goods.
  • Shop to secure needed items for Christmas program (toys, food, supplies, etc.)
  • Participate in Stuff-A-Bus toy drive
  • Assist with distribution of Christmas Hampers
  • Assist CFS staff with Christmas Registration Process
  • Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed High School or equivalents
  • Related experience is an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and adaptability.
  • Patient when dealing with the public, people oriented and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Honest, courteous, and punctual; represent the organization in a positive, professional and engaging manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced office setting
  • Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated/disciplined.
  • Ability to maintain information in confidence and exercise good judgement.
  • Valid Driver's License
