Reporting to the Manager, Child & Adolescent Outpatient - Mental Health & Addictions, the Clinical Therapist, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, is responsible for the delivery of time-limited, evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments to child & youth with Tier-3 mental disorders and Substance Use Disorders. All services are provided within a Stepped Care framework and practice is guided by disorder-based clinical care pathways. Each clinician participates in a consultation group to ensure collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments.
It is an expectation that the Clinical Therapist will act in a professional and ethical manner, following all recognized codes of ethics, standards, legislation, and guidelines relevant to clinical practice and profession. They will convey respect and a solid understanding of subtle and complex diversity and inclusion issues as they relate to specific groups.
