About the opportunity
The School of Nursing in Dalhousie's Faculty of Health invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, two-year limited term faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, specializing in mental health and addictions.

The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate students and may teach and/or mentor/advise graduate students. The teaching assignments will include teaching in mental health and addictions as well as courses to reflect the expertise of the successful candidate within the needs of the School. Courses will encompass interprofessional education, in-person, online, context-based, and/or clinical simulation learning.

Applicants must hold a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, and a Master's degree in Nursing and/or another health discipline. PhD preparation is an asset, in Nursing and/or another health discipline. All applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to developing excellence in their teaching and practice. A combination of four to five years' clinical and teaching experience in mental health and addictions is required. Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. The candidate is expected to become an active and engaged member of the School, Faculty and University. Activities at local, national, and international levels are expected to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning at Dalhousie. There is no expectation of a research workload associated with this position.
