About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PIs) and under the direction of the Urology Research Manager, the Licensed Research Coordinator (LPN) is responsible for the coordination of research projects conducted within the QEII. This coordination includes the management and administration of the studies/clinical trials, caring for the subjects participating in the studies and the management of documents and data collected throughout the study period.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Diploma in Licensed Practical Nurse required
  • Current registration with the relevant professional healthcare licensing organization required
  • BLS-C (HCP) Certification required
  • Knowledge and experience in Urology an asset
  • Experience in clinical research an asset
  • CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel), email and internet
  • Demonstrated competencies in computer skills.
  • Skills and experience in promoting learning cultures that nurture equity, diversity and inclusion with a focus on intersectional values, analysis, and actions, clinical humility, and the responsible use of power and privilege
  • Demonstrated clinical and assessment skills related to the scope required for a particular study and patient population
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Effective research and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multi disciplinary team environment

Hours

  • Temporary, full-time assignment; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximately a 12-month assignment
  • This job requires you to be onsite and is based in Halifax, NS

Compensation and Benefits

$35.27 - $44.09 Hourly

$68,781 - $85,976 Annually
