Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 6660 Sec 51, "Social Work & Restorative Approaches: Theory and Skills for Dialogue, Peacebuilding and Healing". The course will be offered in the Summer Term, from July-August, 2025. Note this is an online course and is part of the MSW program.

The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. Distance courses are taught using an online learning management system (LMS) known as Brightspace. Distance courses require on-line availability for consultation with students. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: A critical approach to understanding transformative and restorative justice theory and practice and the development of critical frameworks for social work. A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience, preferably with on-line teaching.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
