Reporting to the Director of Policy, the Policy Lead’s role is to facilitate and accelerate the integration of policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols to support readiness for the OPOR go live across all four zones.
The Policy Lead is accountable for leading Policy development as per the Nova Scotia Health Policy Framework and governing policy, working in close alignment with other members of the Policy Office to ensure alignment of policy direction.
The Policy Lead serves as the Subject Matter Expert and main point of contact for policy matters within OPOR and is responsible for facilitating the development, review, maintenance, and distribution of OPOR-related policies and associated processes as well as alignment of these policies with standards across relevant health sectors.
The Policy Lead provides support to OPOR senior leadership to ensure sponsored policies and associated processes support the mission, vision and values of the organization and are not in conflict with existing professional and organizational bylaws, rules and regulations, as well as other policies and procedures. The Policy Lead is accountable for managing NSH’s Policy Management System as well as day-to-day operations, employee orientation and overseeing updates of same.
The Policy Lead is accountable to lead on-going education of employees both in the realm of policy development and writing as well as in the design and use of the NSH policy and procedure system, both hard copy and electronic.
This position utilizes a hybrid workplace model that combines working from home with working onsite. Candidates can live and work from anywhere in the Central Zone, with travel required only as necessary.

$37.61 - $47.01 Hourly
