About the Opportunity

The successful applicant will report to the Nova Scotia Lead of the Atlantic Cancer Consortium (ACC) and will also liaise with other team members in the Atlantic Provinces.

The Administrative Coordinator will be required to perform administrative duties including:

  • Use independent judgement to respond to inquiries;
  • Prepare agenda and minutes;
  • Prepare reports and letters;
  • Organize and assemble meeting packages and ensure appropriate follow-up;
  • Track meeting outcomes to ensure appropriate follow-up is undertaken;
  • Track deadlines and other action items to ensure appropriate follow-up related to project logistics;
  • Implement tools and processes to track activities and reporting requirements for ACC logistical teams;
  • Assist in financial reporting and meeting reporting milestones;
  • Maintain electronic records;
  • Share national network/consortium level information;
  • Circulate consortium announcements and policy updates;
  • Other related duties as required.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12
  • Successful completion of a one year Secretarial/Business diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Undergraduate degree an asset
  • Medical Terminology course preferred
  • CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset
  • Minimum of three years related administrative experience
  • Experience in financial reporting and management an asset
  • Previous research experience preferred
  • Knowledge of REB and grant applications preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), email and internet
  • Effective communication, customer service, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to draft, format and edit office correspondence
  • Well developed organizational, time management and daily planning skills
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of people and personalities in a professional manner
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Bookkeeping experience

Hours

  • Full-time, long assignment (75 hours bi-weekly)
  • One-year long assignment starting as soon as possible
  • This role requires you to be onsite and is based in Halifax, NS

Compensation and Benefits

$23.78 - $29.73 Hourly

$46,377 - $57,972 Annually
