About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PIs) and under the direction of the Cardiology Research Manager, the Research Coordinator (Registered Nurse) is responsible for the coordination of Heart Rhythm and Heart Function Research projects conducted within Research & Innovation, NSHealth Central Zone. This coordination includes the management of study administration (including contract negotiations and financial management) for multiple studies/clinical trials, caring for the subjects participating in the studies, and the management of documents and data collected throughout the study period. The Research Coordinator works within a collaborative Research Team environment offering a flexible work schedule.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Degree or diploma in Nursing
Current registration with CRNNS
Minimum of two years experience in Nursing
Knowledge and experience in Hematology/Oncology nursing an asset
Experience in clinical research an asset
CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), email and internet
Demonstrated competencies in computer skills, including databases.
Demonstrated clinical and assessment skills related to the scope required for a particular study and patient population (i.e. CPR, ECG, physical, performs phlebotomy, etc)
Effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
Effective research and analytical thinking skills
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and rapport-building skills
Ability to work well independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment

Hours

  • Long Assignment, Full-Time (75 hours biweekly)
  • This role requires you to be onsite and is based in Halifax, NS
  • Beginning November 2024 and ending October 2025

Compensation and Benefits

$40.16 - $50.19 Hourly

$78,295 - $97,868 Annually

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
