Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for carrying out assigned functional accounting and maintaining the integrity of information within the accounting subsystems in Financial Services. The Accounts Payable Clerk responds to and serves as a point of contact for customers and vendors.
The Accounts Payable Clerk ensures that the principles and practices that guide Nova Scotia Health such as the vision, mission, values, strategic directions, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the support that is provided by the work that they do and through the messages they deliver.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
• Graduate of a recognized post-secondary business program with an emphasis in Accounting
• Minimum one (1) year recent and related experience in a computerized Accounting environment in the past three (3) years
• Work experience in Accounts Payable preferred
• Ability to use MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel), Accounting software and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to use general office equipment
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable and General Accounting
• Demonstrated accountability
• Demonstrated judgment and decision making skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Demonstrated communication and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills

$25.27 - $28.17 Hourly
