About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer is responsible for procurement activities in a centralized service including inventory, non-inventory goods and services. Assists with supply/service contract management for facilities and agencies as directed by the Procurement Manager according to established procurement policies.

A skill test will be included as part of the selection process.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent required
  • Two (2) year post-secondary program in Business or equivalent required
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a related supply chain environment required
  • SCMA Certificate or an acceptable combination of education and experience would be considered an asset
  • Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Working knowledge of SAP operating system preferred
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Willingness to learn new computer programming
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent Full-time (100%) position, 70 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$27.09 - $30.68 Hourly
