The Geoscience and Mines Branch of the Department of Natural Resources delivers leadership in the management and responsible development of the Province's mineral resource assets along with scientific support of public health and safety through regional mapping and hazard mapping programs. Within the Branch, the Geological Survey Division includes a team of expert geoscientists who are responsible for delivering high quality, timely geoscience data, information, services, and support to a wide range of stakeholders, including all levels of government, industry, academia, and the public.
Reporting to the Manager of Critical Minerals and Resources, the Core Library Client Services Coordinator will be directly responsible for supporting mineral resource industry clients at the Drill Core Library in Stellarton. They will provide efficient and knowledgeable service related to client visits.

To be considered for this role, you must have completed a B.Sc. in Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Geosciences, or similar, along with a minimum of 3 summer terms (12 months) of experience in a geoscience-related field. An acceptable equivalent of training and experience in the mineral resource industry may be considered.
The ideal candidate will:
Familiarity with GIS applications and handling digital data is beneficial. Experience with a forklift is an asset, though training will be provided.

This role is based in Stellarton. It will include work in an office, warehouse environment, and indoor core logging facility. Additional PPE is required for some parts of the facility and will be provided (e.g., steel-toed boots). Some limited fieldwork and travel in Nova Scotia may be required.
Pay Grade: PR 07 - PR 12
Salary Range: $2,004.96 - $2,982.67 Bi-Weekly
