Reporting to the Health Services Manager and accountable to the Grief and Bereavement Practice Lead & Palliative Care Network, the designated Indigenous Grief and Bereavement Coordinator works as part of a team to provide expertise in the development and delivery of a zone-based grief and bereavement program along a continuum to meet a broad range of grief needs that include:
The successful applicant will specifically support the 3 first nations communities in Northern Zone (Pictou Landing, Millbrook and Sipekne'katik). The area of work will vary, but will be primarily in the above mentioned communities. The GBC demonstrates flexibility and innovation in program design based on zone population needs, strategic priorities, and available resources. The GBC ensures the zone-based program aligns with provincial grief competencies and standards established through the Provincial Palliative Care Network including trauma-informed and palliative care approaches to care as appropriate and integrates principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, reconciliation, and accessibility (EDIRA).

$39.39 - $51.78 Hourly
