We are looking for Manager, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data who would spearhead the organization's enterprise data and business intelligence transformation, serving as the primary technical authority for complex data solutions spanning both on-premises and cloud environments. The role drives strategic value by architecting and implementing sophisticated data warehouse solutions while leading the critical migration of data assets to cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. This position is accountable for end-to-end delivery of enterprise-wide data initiatives, providing technical leadership to development teams while serving as the key liaison between technical implementation and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with organizational objectives. Finally, the individual is accountable for the performance of the data team, as well as coordination with other technical teams.

Location: This role is hybrid and may require travel to our Markham or Toronto office as needed.

Key Accountabilities:

Leads end-to-end technical architecture and implementation of enterprise data solutions:

  • Architects and designs complex BI solutions, data marts, and data warehouses
  • Develops sophisticated SQL solutions and data structures
  • Oversees implementation of high-performing data solutions across SQL Server, Power BI, SSIS, and MicroStrategy
  • Ensures architectural integrity and scalability of all data solutions

Directs cloud migration strategy and implementation:

  • Architects cloud-based data solutions using Azure, Snowflake, and other advanced technologies
  • Leads strategic migration of mission-critical data assets from on-premises to cloud platforms
  • Develops complex data pipelines and integration patterns between environments
  • Ensures security and governance standards across hybrid infrastructure

Provides technical leadership and team supervision:

  • Leads and mentors' development team members
  • Conducts technical code reviews and ensures adherence to quality standards
  • Oversees resource allocation and project timelines
  • Makes critical technical decisions and serves as escalation point
  • Accountable for team's performance and HR logistics
  • Acts as the point of escalation for team challenges

Manages stakeholder relationships and requirements:

  • Leads strategic stakeholder engagements across business units
  • Drives documentation and approval of complex business requirements
  • Provides regular status updates to senior management
  • Ensures alignment between technical solutions and business needs

Misc and PM role:

  • Conduct code review sessions with team members
  • Ensure strict adherence to standards for all developed solutions
  • Continuously assess and implement BI best practices
  • Provide timelines and effort estimates for BI projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in technology/ 10-15 years of management experience
  • Specialized training in database management; data warehousing; data recovery; data modelling; MicroStrategy; Microsoft Data Technologies
  • Specialized Knowledge: Data warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Modelling
  • Required Designations/Certifications/Licenses:
    MCSE: Data Management and Analytics, Business Intelligence
    MCSA: SQL Database Administration, SQL Database Development, BI Reporting
    MicroStrategy Certified Platform Administrator (MCPA)
    MicroStrategy Certified Engineer (MCE)
    MicroStrategy Certified Developer (MCD)
