Job Description:

The P&O BP will have a critical role to play in driving key people, talent, and culture initiatives for our US Greenville (GRV) and Canada Bolton (BFP) site in partnership with the Site Directors, the Site Leadership Teams, MyP&O and P&O CoEs. The primary goal of the P&O BP is the successful delivery of Mars signature processes and site-specific initiatives that drive overall unit effectiveness as well as delivery of the operational site agenda in line with the Five Principles.

The incumbent will partner with MyP&O and CoEs (Associate Relations, Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Mars University, etc.) to bring people practices and processes to high levels of excellence. They will also drive ownership with the Site Leadership Teams to ensure a robust pipeline of people programs that promote site productivity, a healthy talent pipeline and enhance the Associate Experience in the sites.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field.
  • Overall 8+ years of Business Experience working with Senior Stakeholders across different segments.
  • 5+ years of P&O experience as a Generalist or in a different HR function (Associate Relations, Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Associate Experience).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective in building relationship at all levels.
  • Strong consulting skills and ability to influence decisions to a positive business outcome.
  • Ability to effectively manage and work within ambiguity and prioritize on business needs and resources.
  • P&O Manufacturing/Supply experience is an asset.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Collaborate closely with Greenville (GRV) and Bolton (BOL) Site Directors and Site Leadership Teams on a variety of initiatives to drive cultural transformation and site effectiveness from a P&O standpoint by leveraging leading principles, tools, methods and P&O frameworks to empower organizations to drive results.
  • Support and collaborate with MyP&O to shape the nature of local P&O programs, processes, policies, and service delivery based on the business environment/strategy.
  • Work closely with the segment to translate business requirements into effective solutions that enable segment priorities and position the business for growth.
  • Serve as an advocate in promoting a "One Mars" environment and managing the interactions and interdependencies of MyP&O, CoEs, Business Partner, and Line Manager roles to enable local business success.
  • Provide the day-to-day mentorship and guidance that associates need to be successful in their positions so that they are positioned to deliver impact to Mars.
  • Collaborate closely with the Site Leadership Team to implement new and existing P&O programs that meet business needs, achieve strategic goals, and that emphasize associate advocacy as well as provide recommendations based on the most pressing site needs and provide solutions that will strengthen the brand and the business.
  • Responsible to ensure that the principles and values that underlie the Mars way of business are properly integrated into and observed across operating policies and practices.
  • Serve as an advisor, facilitator, or coach, where questions of talent, development and change management arise between Line Managers and Associates.
  • Ensure a robust pipeline of programs that promote associate advocacy, foster associate engagement and build a more inclusive and diverse culture at the site.
  • Serve as the "voice of the business" acting as a key funnel for communicating feedback on the organizational pulse and on any talent/capability gaps to P&O and business leadership, to mitigate risks and strengthen the overall health of the organization.
