Reporting to the Ministry Unit Director, the Psychotherapist is a professionally qualified clinician whose main purpose is the assessment and treatment of clients experiencing the effects of abuse and/or Trauma and Stress Related Disorders. The Psychotherapist may also work with clients who are experiencing mood, anxiety and personality disorders and occasionally more serious mental health diagnoses. Working actively with their clients, they recommend psychotherapeutic goals and facilitate relevant treatment plans to address client needs. This work serves the Mission of the Army to meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the community, expressed in spiritual ministry and social services that serve the vulnerable and under-served.

The Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre is a short-term emergency shelter for women and children escaping family violence. The Women's Counselling Centre is a community-based centre that provides affordable and accessible psychotherapy and transitional housing and support services to survivors of gender-based violence. Within a Christian and holistic framework, we provide safety, support, education and advocacy in a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive atmosphere. We empower women to live violence free.
