FIREFLY is seeking a full-time Positive Behaviour Interventionist to work in our Fort Frances FIREFLY location.
Do you have experience in early childhood development and have an interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder? Are you interested in working in a team environment with other professionals such as psychologists, pediatricians, occupational therapists, rehab assistants, dieticians, behaviour therapists, mental health counsellors, and others?
Reporting to the Clinical Manager and working under the guidance of a Senior Clinician, the Positive Behaviour Interventionist is responsible for working directly with children/youth with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Positive Behaviour Interventionist provides evidence‐based interventions as outlined in the child/youth's Behaviour Plan. Positive Behaviour Interventionists will work across a variety of settings such as homes, schools, and community spaces, and as such, must possess strong communication, collaboration, and independence skills. Services provided are family-centred and each family is seen as a partner in supporting the child/youth while participating in services and supports. The Positive Behaviour Interventionist will work with clinical direction and clinical coaching from a BCBA or Psychological Associate. Administrative direction and assignments are provided by the Clinical Manager.
