Dental Assistant Level 2 - Dentistry 390 - London, ON

Dentistry 390 is looking for a Level II Certified Dental Assistant who loves a combination of teamwork and individual work. The role of dental assistant for this position includes assisting with general dentistry along with Invisalign and comprehensive orthodontics. If you have always wanted to learn to assist with orthodontic treatment but have not had training, this opportunity involves the chance to learn these skills from an experienced orthodontic assistant.

This is a great opportunity to flex your skills as a Dental Assistant. Whether assisting with general dentistry procedures or assisting with orthodontic treatment, your day will be filled with a variety of procedures and patients. As part of your job, you'll be able to utilize your photography and scanning skills while taking orthodontic records and spend one on one time with your patient.

Schedule:

• 35 hours per week
• Monday 8am - 5pm, Tuesday 8am - 5pm, Wednesday 8am - 6pm, Thursday 8am-8pm

Success in this role requires the following skills, knowledge and competencies:

• Passion for improving patients' smiles
• Level II certified Dental Assisting certificate
• General dentistry assisting proficiency
• Experience (or enthusiasm to learn) assisting in orthodontics an asset
• Digital scanning and dental photography experience helpful
• Familiarity with laser surgery
• Experience making Essix retainers or whitening trays an asset

In fulfilling your role, you will be building and developing relationships with patients by:

• Creating a personal connection with patients
• Utilizing your organizational skills
• Performing scanning and photography
• Communicating with patients and instructing them on their home care
• Actively participating in Team Events/Seminars/Courses/Conventions
