JOB SUMMARY:

SE Health, one of Canada's largest social enterprises, is dedicated to developing transformative health initiatives across the country. As the Business Support Specialist, you will support the day-to-day operations of SE Health's professional Practice department and ensure that the team has the necessary resources and tools to achieve its goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support for the Professional Practice department, including document management of clinical practice policies, development and ownership of the intranet resources, contract monitoring of partnership and research opportunities, to ensure efficient operations
  • Perform administrative duties such as file management, drafting communications, gathering information, scheduling, and logistics, including support for accreditation preparation
  • Act as a programmatic data analyst to monitor and develop reports to share with the professional practice team, flagging concerns and proactively identifying risks
  • Support the development of educational materials and training modules for SE Health staff
  • Oversee and manage the Professional Practice intake process, addressing pressing issues with internal stakeholders

Accreditation and Quality Compliance Support

  • Prepare quality reports using the internal business intelligence system and the risk reporting system
  • Analyze monthly clinical audit data, identify possible issues, and escalate concerns when required
  • Run training reports for the organization to monitor clinical skill education
  • Support team to ensure critical issues and pressing commitments are managed promptly
  • Populate and monitor the organizational accreditation scorecard and accreditation process

Meeting and Committee Support

  • Provide administrative support for various team meetings
  • Perform administrative duties for various committees, including preparation of agendas and materials, coordination of participants, and distribution of information
  • Other support for other SE Health initiatives including special projects and new initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Postsecondary Education, ideally in healthcare or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years prior experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Accreditation Processes
  • Knowledge of business, policy management and operations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail, great organizational and management skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments
  • Ability to effectively apply principles of adult learning
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn a variety of software applications
