THE ROLE:

As a Lab Technologist, you will drive lab operations/management. You will contribute to maintaining lab safety, tracking, purchasing and monitoring lab equipment, and driving equipment calibrations.

THE PERSON:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must excel in a dynamic team working environment.
  • Must be familiar with electrical engineering fundamentals and have excellent organizational skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help maintain IP Characterization lab including test set-ups, equipment calibration & repair, ordering lab supplies, etc.
  • Assist in rework of boards and test fixtures.
  • Conduct measurements, collect and analyze data on mixed-signal circuits in support of IP characterization.
  • Order CAPEX & OPEX equipment on SAP S4 / FIORI / ARIBA.
  • Keep an up-to-date inventory of various equipment, software, etc.
  • Help with tracking equipment rentals and equipment purchases.
  • Work with equipment vendors to learn equipment capability/functionality, various configurations, measurement techniques, and help with procurement.
  • Categorize and organize electrical components/parts and equipment in the lab area.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experienced in using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with analog circuits, RF, and signal integrity principles
  • Familiarity with using test equipment such as Scopes, Function Generators, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
  • Good soldering and repair skills
  • Experience with SAP S4 / FIORI / ARIBA
  • Visual Basic, Visual C++, Python, Pearl scripting
  • Experience in ASIC test techniques and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Candidate must have good written and oral communication skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Electronics diploma or equivalent
