POSITION SUMMARY:

The Leadership and Professional Development Facilitator, Content Designer, and Leadership Coach will play a crucial role in designing, delivering, and assessing leadership development programs. This position requires a dynamic and experienced professional who can effectively blend instructional design and adult learning principles with strong facilitation skills to create impactful learning experiences. The ideal candidate will also provide one-on-one leadership coaching to support the growth and development of leaders at various levels within the organization in support of the ongoing development of our leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Design and Development:

  • Develop and design comprehensive leadership and professional development programs from emerging to senior level leaders, including workshops and seminars, both in-person and virtual; contributing to and aligning work to our Leadership Development Roadmap, with linkages to our People Everything and Talent strategies.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning objectives.
  • Create and assess engaging and interactive instructional, modelled, experiential, self-directed and asynchronous materials, such as presentations, handouts, and digital content.; in order to create impactful, meaningful, and sustained leadership and professional development
  • Utilize the latest instructional design methodologies and technologies to enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Design to develop and further organizational skills and capabilities; including the intentional capture of developed skills and capabilities to support internal talent development and mobility.
  • Provide consultative support to SME areas to develop content supporting high impact learning
  • Support the design, build, integration, assessment, and improvement of high-potential programs
  • Connect and link programs/content to and with educational content/training in other areas (i.e. clinical training, or local job specific) so as to create a seamless experience for learners and enable the leveraging of multiple assets to support the developmental goal
  • Source and negotiate with potential partners and assess viability of external offerings and integration points

Facilitation and Training:

  • Facilitate leadership and professional development workshops, training sessions, and seminars for diverse audiences.
  • Employ various instructional techniques to ensure active participation and engagement.
  • Adapt facilitation style to meet the needs of different adult learner groups.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through feedback and assessment tools.
  • Design/create ‘general’ and ‘custom’ facilitation/training sessions to support the learning needs of all, and of specific groups with specific needs; where possible modify and incorporate existing assets to create an integrated and consistent experience in order to maximize impact

Coaching and Mentoring:

  • Provide one-on-one leadership coaching to individuals at various stages of their leadership journey.
  • Where feasible develop coaching training for leader, build communities of coaching, develop group coaching models, etc; to build a ‘culture of coaching’ for the organization
  • Utilize coaching methodologies to help clients set goals, overcome challenges, and achieve their leadership potential.
  • Track and document coaching progress, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with coaching clients to foster a supportive and motivating environment.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on the leading-edge programming based on the most current research, evidence and practice in facilitation, program design and coaching.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing programs and materials based on feedback and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Develop programs/content and/or further recommendations intended to further and augment our Talent Strategies, Leadership Development Roadmap, and People Everything Strategy
  • Research/develop tools and alternate learning and development opportunities such as reading circles, distribution of curated content, micro-learnings, leadership communities, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership and professional development, instructional design, and facilitation.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering effective leadership and professional development programs.
  • Experience in providing leadership coaching to individuals and teams, ICF certification preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
  • Excellent coaching skills with a deep understanding of leadership principles and practices.
  • Proficient in instructional design methodologies and learning technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
