Job Description

Reporting to the National Director, Nutritional Care and Culinary Services, the MealSuite Touch Implementation Lead is responsible for the successful implementation of the MealSuite Touch software within Extendicare, Assist, and Spruce owned and managed LTC homes across Canada. This individual will work closely with the LTC Nutritional Care and Culinary Support Team and the Project Management Office. The MealSuite Touch Implementation Lead will maintain good working relationships with all the stakeholders and will be responsible for adhering to Extendicare's values and code of conduct.

Key Responsibilities

  • To train various home level disciplines (Nutrition Manager, front line culinary staff and front-line clinical staff) in the various components of the software application;
  • To identify process improvements to training, project execution and communicate lessons learned to project team;
  • To record details from project team meetings and update project tasks and outcomes as required;
  • To serve as central source of information related to all aspects of the MealSuite Touch Implementation;
  • To provide ongoing support (in person, virtual or phone) to homes during and after MealSuite Touch implementation has been completed;
  • Support change management for those individuals that may not be comfortable utilizing technology and be intuitive to their needs (as these individuals may not be able to express the issues they are experiencing);
  • Ensure timely, accurate communications between project team members and stakeholders;
  • To coordinate meetings and / or teleconferences as required;
  • To uphold and promote the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Extendicare's Code of Conduct;
  • To complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable in a lead setting and be able to support homes by answering questions and troubleshooting issues to find resolution during and post implementation;
  • Ability to systematically and effectively document and communicate issues to project team and other affected parties;
  • Strong knowledge of key roles in menu production, plating and meal service, as well as nourishment pass;
  • Insight into effective training methods for Management and front-line staff in LTC setting;
  • 3 years' experience in LTC Food Service Operations Management considered to be an asset;
  • Ability to travel to various LTC homes in Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta for the duration of the project;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to reprioritize based on current challenges and site level situations as appropriate;
  • Strong understanding of MealSuite Touch software components and how information within the software system is displayed at point of service (training to be provided);
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with MealSuite Touch Vendor including but not limited to documentation and communication of issues requiring escalation;
  • High Energy, persistence and ability to maintain a positive outlook regardless of challenges experienced;
  • Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
  • Strong skills and experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language;
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail;
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;
  • Ability to rapidly adjust focus and schedule based on changes in priorities.
