Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Quality and Business Enablement, the Project Manager will oversee, manage, report on, and be accountable for special projects and strategic initiatives launched and implemented across Extendicare LTC homes. The Project Manager will work across multiple teams to develop comprehensive project plans that track activities, dependencies, timelines, and resource requirements to enable overall project success. The Project Manager will be an expert problem solver, able to identify potential project risks and design solutions to overcome challenges to achieve project timelines and objectives.
The position will be located at Extendicare Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on Extendicare's hybrid work model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and report on projects that are part of Extendicare's Chief Medical Office and Corporate Quality priorities
Develop and implement project management tools to track work streams that drive business transformation across LTC homes
Identify project risks and work collaboratively with teams to mitigate risks and resolve potential business challenges through creative problem solving
Develop key performance indicators and create dashboards and presentations to communicate status of projects to stakeholders across Extendicare
Drive change management activities across multiple business units (e.g., Operations, Operational Quality, Chief Medical Office, IT)
Model creative thinking and behavior at all levels of the organization to constantly seek ways to improve services and challenge the status quo
Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external business partners through shared responsibilities and mutual goal setting, open communication, and transparency
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary degree in relevant field; preference given to candidates possessing degree in Nursing, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
1-3 years of project management experience in healthcare sector
Proven analytical, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills with the ability to operate at a strategic level to develop and achieve shared goals and organizational objectives
Collaborative style with the ability to work well and communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a results-oriented management style
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing industry trends and priorities
Long Term Care experience preferred
Proficient with MS Office suite
Occasional business travel required
