You, as our Mental Health Director, will:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the psychological safety, mental health and wellness programs that support the well-being of our employees.
  • Work directly with our Leaders, Business Areas, People & Culture and HSE team to ensure our programs are effective and provide the level of care and support needed for our employees.
  • Ensure immediate assessment and intervention for individuals in crisis due to symptoms associated with a serious and severe psychiatric, addiction, and/or psycho-social concerns are in place through internal and external resources.
  • Provide support and guidance to leaders managing scenarios of stress, strain, burnout, and psychological health and safety incidents in the workplace, including project sites.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, resources, tools and care plans that strengthen mental health support across all areas of EllisDon.
  • Alongside the Mental Health Specialist, develop and implement a comprehensive mental health program that aligns with EllisDon's mission and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry, community organizations, and health care providers to enhance program accessibility and effectiveness.
  • Identify, develop, and execute personnel plans for a mental health internal/external team to support EllisDon's mental health services group.
  • Continued guidance, support and development of our internal and external mental health team, and counsellors that support EllisDon.
  • Lead the development and implementation of preventative programs to support employee well-being
  • Stay up to date with current trends, research, and best practices in the field of mental health and wellness, incorporating this knowledge into program development and service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, utilizing data to assess program effectiveness and areas for improvement.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field, including Psychological Safety, Occupational Health, Nursing (RN), or Psychology with a combination of relevant experience in mental health and wellness.
  • Experience leading and implementing mental health, intervention, and counseling programs throughout an organization.
  • Related experience in crisis intervention and understanding of (CBT) Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Entrepreneurial and action focused approach.
  • Proven track record, in a leadership role, preferably within corporate settings, focusing on mental health, psychological safety, or a related area.
  • Strong background in implementing psychological safety frameworks, emotional intelligence training, or mental health programs.
  • Builds and maintains trust with a confidentiality principled approach within the workplace and community.
