SCHEDULE:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff Supervision.

  • Manage, train, and supervise dental assistants.
  • Coordinate daily schedules, assignments, and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Handle performance reviews and provide constructive feedback

Clinical Support:

  • Assist dentists during procedures when necessary.
  • Oversee sterilization procedures and maintain infection control standards.
  • Ensure that all dental equipment is maintained and functioning properly.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor supplies and place orders to ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Track and manage equipment repairs and purchases.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist with patient scheduling and workflow to optimize efficiency.
  • Handle patient complaints or concerns and resolve any operational issues.
  • Oversee accurate and timely patient record maintenance.

Compliance:

  • Ensure the clinic follows local, state, and federal dental regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace safety protocols and HIPAA requirements.

Coordination with Other Departments:

  • Liaise between clinical and front office staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams for billing, insurance, and payroll.

Training & Development:

  • Conduct or organize training for staff on new procedures, equipment, or software.
  • Ensure continuing education requirements are met by the dental assistants.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience is required in a senior administrative role
  • Experience with dental practice management software such as ABELdent is considered an asset
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook)
  • Strong written and communication skills when speaking with patients and dental providers
  • Strong knowledge of medical and dental terminology and processes
  • Experience maintaining a professional level of patient privacy
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, and other financial transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Customer service mindset
