We are Somerset West Community Health Centre (SWCHC), a non-profit, community-governed organization that serves over 18,000 clients annually. Established in 1978, SWCHC provides a wide range of health care services such as primary health care, health promotion, community development, mental health, and harm reduction. Job Summary
The Director of Integrated Health Services provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Centre's integrated health programs, ensuring that services meet the diverse and evolving needs of our community. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating high-quality, client-centered health services, which include primary care, mental health and addictions support, a regional Lung Health program, and the Ottawa Newcomer Health Centre.
The Director works closely with community partners, health networks, and interest holders to advance the Centre's commitment to equitable, accessible, and culturally responsive care. As a member of the senior and management teams, the Director is responsible for all aspects of staff management and team administration within their areas of responsibility. They lead a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that prioritizes holistic and integrated approaches to healthcare, and aligns with the health care priorities established through Ontario Health and the Ontario Health Team.
In addition to the strategic oversight, the Director also plays a key role in long-term planning, quality improvement, and policy advocacy, ensuring alignment with the Centre's mission and strategic goals. The Director represents and promotes the Centre by actively participating in community activities, liaising with external groups and agencies, and speaking at public events as needed. They are also committed to advancing anti-racism and anti-oppression principles within healthcare practices, addressing health disparities, and promoting inclusive services for the communities we serve.
