TELUS Health is looking for a Fitness & Wellness Consultant in Ottawa, ON.

The Fitness & Wellness Consultant will be responsible for teaching a variety of group exercise classes, assisting members in the gym, and promoting health and wellness programs to corporate employees.

What you'll do

• Provide virtual fitness and wellness programming
• Instruct and assist in the scheduling of fitness classes and monitoring participation
• Instruct both in-person and virtual fitness classes
• Monitor fitness program use to provide guidance and ensure safety of participants
• Report on monthly and/or quarterly usage stats
• Facilitate the completion of GAQ screening forms and waivers for new members and annually
• Facilitate virtual guided meditations, delivery of virtual wellness resources, and monthly wellness lunch and learn lectures
• Create personal fitness programs and provide personal training sessions in the gym for fitness centre members to ensure proper exercise technique

Qualifications

What you bring

• Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotion
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
• Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Training certification
• Energetic, confident, reliable, positive, engaging with a passion for fitness and health
• Works well as part of a team
• High degree of self motivation and initiative
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills
• Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applications
• Experience in the corporate fitness & wellness field an asset
