About this opportunity:

We are now looking for an experienced developer to develop and maintain Ericsson's groundbreaking Radio products and solutions. Your role will involve analyzing and troubleshooting reported software issues. Your responsibilities will include all related activities such as: triaging incoming issues, prioritizing, investigating root causes, developing a resolution plan, implementing a solution, and providing timely updates. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across Ericsson and partner companies, contributing to the cutting-edge advancements in telecommunications technology.

We follow Lean and Agile ways of working. We are organized in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work. We work closely with the system design, hardware design, and integration & verification teams. All team members have the possibility to work across multiple aspects of the software development process including requirement analysis, systemization, design, implementation, testing, integration, verification, design, product documentation, and maintenance.

What you will do:

  • Quickly, accurately, and professionally troubleshoot reported problems in-depth to identify and resolve Radio software issues.
  • Carry out solution analysis & define implementation proposal for product- Unit/Module/System-level verification.
  • Participate in peer reviews and other inspection activities.
  • Develop new tools/automations or processes to accelerate fault analysis and resolution time.
  • Engage with test and delivery organizations to ensure speedy delivery of solutions.
  • Engage with customer facing teams and provide technical insights to provide accurate information outwards.
  • Identify cross dependencies and pull relevant resources into task forces or collaboration teams as needed.
  • Take ownership of SW quality and have customer interest at the center of all solution proposals.
  • Be comfortable learning about new hardware and customer site configurations as well as to replicate setups in internal labs.
  • Have very good analytical and problem-solving skills and thrive in a challenging environment.

The skills you bring:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Embedded Software, Electrical Engineering, Telecom engineering or equivalent.
  • Hands on C, C++ experience and strong OOP background are must-haves for this position.
  • Experience in product support or customer issue resolution.
  • Experience in Python, Linux, Git/Gerrit, and Jenkins would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Wireless Communication Systems and the telecom industry
  • Developing software for radio access network or other telecommunication equipment products would be an asset.
  • Knowledge about RF and telecommunication concepts and technology would be an asset.
  • Knowledge about communication protocols (e.g. TCP/IP) would be an asset.
  • Interpersonal skills: Independent, self-starter, team player who is organized, detail oriented and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Focus on growth and continuous self-learning approach.
  • Good communication skills to report both inwards and outwards
  • Minimum Years of experience: 5 years.
