What would my role be?

Reporting to Manager, Procurement and Logistics, you will be responsible for verifying, preparing, and delivering all medical stock products and other general products. You will also perform inventory on a regular basis and assume all related duties.

How do I qualify?

Required:

  • Completion of High School Diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) months of related experience such as using commercial washing and drying machines, inventory control computer systems, scanning systems, carousel distribution systems, or electrical forklifts

Preferred:

  • Valid Material Handling Equipment Licenses, or successfully pass recertification
  • Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement).

What skills should I possess to succeed in the role?

  • Knowledge of the medical products and general hospital supplies
  • Knowledge of computerized materials management systems
  • Knowledge of a scanning system
  • Knowledge of a "carousel system"
  • Knowledge of electrical forklift
  • Able to handle many stressful activities at one time
  • Good analytical skills
  • Knowledge of industrial washing & drying machines
  • Knowledge of label printing machine
  • Knowledge of heat sealer labelling machine
  • Knowledge of inventory control concepts
  • Good judgment
  • Capability of managing stressful situations
  • Able to push, pull and lift heavy loads
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
